I'll conclude this series of posts about our Colorado vacation with some scenes from the home of our generous hosts. Heather and Andrew took such good care of us on this trip: arranging time off work, planning awesome outings, packing picnic lunches, driving us all over multiple states, cooking delicious meals, and making us feel at home. It was such a good trip with such a perfect balance of activity!
There were dog snuggles.
And many games played and movies watched. Uncle Andrew helped us cross a few more movies off our Marvel list with his complete collection. I Love Lucy marathons were enjoyed.
S'mores were roasted.
A new form of art was discovered! Uncle Andrew spent hours with the girls in his work shop teaching them the intricate step by step process of crafting leather products. He's been doing this for years and is an impressive artisan. Ella and I both have purses that he's created for us. The girls loved learning how to take a piece of leather and turn it into something beautiful (a wallet for Ella and a bracelet for Delia) by cutting, staining, stamping, stitching, burning, and buffing.
The girls are so blessed by their aunties and uncles! I love how Heather planned activities that would interest the kids especially and invited them to decorate their room with her. And how Andrew exhibited unending patience as he sat for hours with the girls sharing his passion and sending them home with creations they are SO proud of!
It was a trip that blessed us all and will be hard to top! But, we already have our list forming of things we want to see and do on our next Colorado Adventure! :)
