Last night Dave and his youth group hosted the church's annual Harvest Party. This is a night we totally look forward to and we all had another great time this year.
Dave and Delia went in coordinating outfits. She was Little Red Riding Hood, he was the Big Bad Wolf dressed as Granny. Delia was so proud of and excited about their costumes. She had a lot of fun hamming it up in her role all evening.

The girls had a bit of a fairy tale thing goin' on. Ella went as Rapunzel. The dress she received as a birthday gift and the wig we bought with a Disney Store gift card left over from our Disneyland vacation package. She loved her costume, but it will be the only year she has one of those extravagant store-bought costumes. She did win the costume contest for her age group, but the judge told her it was her addition of a frying pan that got her the win. You'd understand if you've seen Tangled!

Minnie Mouse and Red Riding Hood (aka Brittany and Delia) excitedly found each other right away and got to eat dinner together. The night was full of fun and friends.
Ella made her way around to all the games several times and was rewarded in her ball-in-cup, Bozo buckets, ring-toss, candle-extinguishing, putt-putting and fishing efforts with a good stash of candy.
Delia spent all her tickets painting pumpkins and bouncing in the bouncy house.

Dave added a new game to the whole-group activities that occur throughout the party. He hung donuts on strings from a high pole and had the kids hilariously go at them without using any hands. Though she was never able to get a good bite out of the dangling donut, Ella said this was her favorite game of the night. It sure was fun to watch!
The pizza dinner, games, candy, pumpkin painting and bouncy house are always highlights, but seeing our whole fellowship hall packed with church friends dressed in creative costumes is probably my favorite part of Halloween. Once again, I'm feeling so thankful for this service Dave and his youth group provide for us young families!

Kiera is SOOO jealous of Ella's costume! Grandma was going to make her this costume and then her school ended up having a skating party instead, so she didn't need a costume. She may get it for Christmas instead since she wanted it SOOO badly! I'm pretty sure it's the hair that makes the costume! Super cute pics!!!
