Tooth Fairy Visits the VM House for the First Time!

She's still one of the smallest in her class and she tells us regularly how she's the only 1st grader to have not lost a tooth yet.  She's been so desperate to join this rite of passage that she prays about it and made "Lose a Tooth" her 2012 New Year's Resolution!  Well tonight prayers were answered and resolutions completed.  Ella lost her first tooth.  She noticed it was wiggly this afternoon while eating something crunchy for a snack.  She spent the rest of the day beaming with happiness and exclaiming over how weird it felt.  While she brushed her teeth, just a few hours later, it came out!

We're thankful there was absolutely no trauma with this first lost tooth.  It couldn't have really been any easier!  Ella's one concern was that the tooth would slip from under her pillow and fall in the crack between her headboard and mattress, confusing the Tooth Fairy, so she devised this tooth pouch and instructional note to help out.  Ella will wake up to her first tooth fairy dollar (which we decided was fair for the first tooth, the rate will drop to $.25 from here on out...) and a teeny tiny letter from the Tooth Fairy telling Ella how happy she is to FINALLY visit her house.

Two-wheel bike riding and a first lost tooth-- what a milestone-full Spring Break this has been for Ella!

Love the new background, Jen!!!

Hooray! We were just talking about this milestone a few weeks ago. She was WAY ahead of Nathan on this one. And no trauma - yeah! That's even better!

Love to all,
Teri and family
